I have a problem that I need help with. I just found out my boyfriend of almost four years has been cheating on me with his ex-girlfriend. He doesn’t know that I know yet, but I had a private investigator tail him and I’ve seen pictures, video and heard phone conversations. When he’s been telling me he’s at work, he’s really been with her. There’s much more, but I won’t bore you with the details. Suffice it to say, he’s a cheater and I am leaving him in a few days.

My question is why do men do this? Why do they leave the women they’re with to be with an ex? A. Some men like the allure of an ex. There are men who keep in touch with their exes, hang out with them regularly and are still involved in their lives. Why are these men doing this? 1. In hopes that if anything goes wrong in a relationship with you, he will always have his ex as a backup. I know, it’s pretty sad, but lots of men do.

When guys get into a fight with their girlfriends, they often turn to romanticizing about their lives with their exes and comparing what they had with what they now have. This is obviously false logic, but some guys will rationalize that things were better with their ex, so they give her a call and then the infidelity begins. 3. Men are insecure. If he’s feeling down on himself, he might turn to an ex for affirmation.

It’s easy. To some men, if they’re going to cheat, it’s much easier to do it with a former flame than go out and try to find someone new to do his dirty deeds with. 5. It doesn’t count. Yes, ladies, there are actually some men out there who firmly believe that having sex with someone you already had sex with is not really cheating! If he plays out the challenge and his ex is up for a quickie, that’s his validation that he’s still hot, good in bed, etc.
